The Littleton, Colorado

Immigrant Integration Initiative

  • Helps newcomers with information
  • Connects people with each other, and
  • Encourages citizenship, community and civic involvement.

Our vision is to become a community in which all people who live, work, study or play feel that they belong and can contribute.

Our goals are:

  • To connect immigrants and refugees with information,
  • To educate newcomers and current residents about each others’ cultures, and
  • To encourage immigrants and refugees to become citizens and to become involved in the life of the community.

We invite you on this journey to a more culturally diverse community.

May 20, 2009: The City of Littleton's Immigrant Integration Initiative is given a $50,000 E Pluribus Unum award recognizing exceptional immigrant integration initiatives. “Some may see an increase in new people as a challenge. We choose to see it as an opportunity.”

What We Do

Naturalization Ceremony April 17, 2008We help newcomers with information – by providing a One-Stop Information coordinator, a Health and Wellness coordinator and a School/Parent liaison.

We connect people with each other – through our Citizenship Mentoring Program and the Two Way Integration Committee, which offers training and events designed to help all members of the community learn about and appreciate other cultures.

We encourage citizenship and civic and community involvement – through English as a Second Language and work with organizations like Western Welcome Week.
