We are happy to announce that LI3’s electronics recycling event on January 19, 2013, was a great success! In cooperation with certified green e-recycler, Metech, we kept an amazing amount of electronics out of the landfill:
• More than 485 pieces of electronics
• 145 pieces of small electronics
• 90 pieces of medium electronics
• 17 pieces of large electronics
• 58 televisions or monitors
• 87 CPUs or laptops
• 88 “donation items”
From this, LI3 earned over $1,500!
Our thanks to everyone in the community who donated old electronics, and especially to Board member Christine Swenson, who led the event; to Metech, for partnering with us; and to the many volunteers who enjoyed a sunny day while helping LI3 and the environment.
